Project Book was established in April of 2006 and approved by the IRS as a tax exempt 501 (C) (3) public charitable organization.  Our EIN number is 20-2482593.

This IRS status means that any and all donations made to Project Book are tax deductible by the donor.

thank you/receipt summarizing your donation.  And, it is up to you to decide the value of your donation. Typically, books donated by college faculty members are quite valuable and so there is the possibility of a significant tax deduction involved with supporting this project.  There are many nonprofit organizations who will solicit you for donations to support their cause.  And many of them a very worthy.  But, most of them want your money.  Project Book does not want your money; it only needs your surplus books.
